Driver found “Not Guilty” of 85/60 Ticket in Dinwiddie, VA
It is uncommon for a reckless driving charge to be dropped without being followed by driving school or community service. Today in court, however, I was able to achieve such an outcome.
My client was ticketed for exceeding the speed limit by 25 mph (85 mph in a 60 mph zone). This is considered a very serious offense in Virginia. Most judges will not consider a reduction at this speed.
Fortunately, I went further than a reduction by getting my client’s charge dismissed. During the trial, I was able to argue for a dismissal after finding a technicality in the case. See the case information from the Court’s Website below.
